The Process
Before
This is the canvas that we started with. There was an existing concrete pad that was cracking and flaking off, and the wooden steps were needing some TLC.
2D Drawing
We start with the initial ideas and then comes the 2D drawing. This allows the homeowner to see the overall layout to make sure everything they want is in the project.
3D Design
The 3D design really brings life to the customer’s idea. It allows everyone to be able to visualize what the project will look like in the end and allow for easy changes prior to construction.
The Final Product
This project is a great before and after. It shows what updating your backyard patio can do for the overall look and feel of the space. From the large patio to the fireplace and integrated seating wall, this project used natural stone and pavers.
One of the biggest upgrades here was on the steps. Prior to construction, the steps were not very extensive. There was only a small step from the side door and some wooden steps by the back door, down to the patio. The homeowners decided to install some sliders on the back wall of their home and have the steps be a focal point of the space. Now we’re not saying they overpower the pool by any means, but they ended up looking great!
Whether you’re wanting to jump into the pool or simply layout and take in some rays, this is a perfect place to do it. And with the fireplace area, you can even enjoy this space at night and into the cool Spring and Fall nights. This is a dream backyard space for sure!
