Who we are
This privacy policy applies to Kansas City Hardscapes, a Missouri-based outdoor design and construction company located at 4801 S Hocker Rd, Kansas City, MO 64136. We can be reached by phone at (816) 499-2547 or by email at hello@kansascityhardscapes.com.
What we collect
Information you give us directly
When you schedule a design meeting, submit the contact form, or use one of our tools, we may collect:
- Your name, phone number, email address, and street address
- Project details you choose to share (rough budget, timeline, what you are thinking about building)
- Photos you upload to the AI Patio Visualizer
- For active clients: information related to your contract, billing milestones, schedule, change orders, and project photos in the client portal
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, we collect basic browsing data so we can understand which pages are useful and which are broken. This includes:
- The pages you visit and roughly how long you stay on each one
- The general region you are in (city level, not address)
- The type of device, browser, and operating system you use
- How you arrived at our site (search engine, ad, social link, direct)
How we use it
We use the information above to:
- Schedule and prepare for design meetings
- Send you a project proposal, contract, and ongoing updates
- Generate AI renderings of your space when you use the Patio Visualizer
- Power your client portal, including milestone tracking and email receipts when payments are received
- Understand which parts of the site are working and which need to be improved
- Reach you back when you ask a question
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with advertisers for retargeting on other sites.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of trusted third-party services to run the site and our business. Each of them has its own privacy policy. The major ones:
- Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads: anonymous traffic data and conversion measurement for our advertising
- Netlify: hosting and serverless functions
- Supabase: secure database for the client portal
- Cloudinary: image and video hosting
- Calendly: design meeting and phone call scheduling
- Resend: transactional emails (payment confirmations, welcome emails)
- Google (Gemini API): powers the AI Patio Visualizer and the AI features that read your signed contract
- Monday.com: internal project tracking that pulls in some client info to keep our team aligned
We will also disclose information if required by law (subpoena, court order, valid government request) or if needed to protect ourselves against a credible threat.
Cookies and similar tracking
This site uses cookies (small files stored in your browser) for two purposes:
- Essential: keeping you signed into the admin area or the client portal, and remembering things like whether you have already dismissed a banner
- Analytics: anonymous Google Analytics 4 cookies so we can see overall traffic patterns
You can disable cookies in your browser settings. If you do, the public site will still work, but you may not be able to sign into a client portal or the admin area.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- Tell you what personal information we have about you
- Correct anything that is wrong
- Delete the information we no longer need to keep for legal or contractual reasons
- Stop using your information for marketing emails (we send very few, and you can unsubscribe directly from any one we send)
Send any of these requests to hello@kansascityhardscapes.com and we will respond within thirty days.
How we protect it
We follow practical security measures appropriate for a small construction business: encrypted data in transit (HTTPS everywhere), encrypted storage with our hosting providers, two-factor authentication on the accounts that matter, and limited access on a need-to-know basis. No system is ever perfectly secure, but we take this seriously.
Children
This site is intended for adult homeowners. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under thirteen. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we make a meaningful change to this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. For significant changes that affect existing clients (for example, a change in who we share data with), we will email you directly.
